Farage Pollster Had Unpublicised Role at Polling Firm

Chris Bruni-Lowe, Nigel Farage’s private pollster and a member of his inner circle, played a significant part in running Redfield and Wilton Strategies while not publicly associated with it, according to several former employees. Induction notes from 2021 describe him as effectively chief operating officer. The firm denies any relationship with Reform UK.

The firm’s sole director, Bruno Rodrigues, says Mr Bruni-Lowe worked as a consultant from mid-2020 until late 2022 and returned voluntarily in the summer of 2025 to train interns, and denies he was ever presented as chief operating officer. He sometimes used the name Chris Redfield, under which quotations were published; the director says that was an internal email convention rather than concealment. Industry rules do not require pollsters to declare political affiliations, though they are strict about naming who commissioned and paid for a poll, and the firm’s numbers circulated widely in political newsletters. Mr Rodrigues says there was never an institutional, polling, research, commissioning or financial relationship with Reform UK or Mr Farage. Reform itself has not commented. The account rests on former employees who are not named, set against an on-the-record denial, and is carried by a single publication — worth weighing. It lands on a party that this morning proposed suspending the asylum system for a parliamentary term.
