Russian Strikes Hit Kyiv's National Academy of Sciences
Russia’s round-the-clock bombardment killed at least seven people and wounded more than 50, officials said on Monday. Apartment buildings, offices, data centres and a building of the National Academy of Sciences in central Kyiv were struck in a daytime attack.

Drone attacks on the Kyiv region alone killed four and wounded eight. A woman was killed in the Shevchenkivskyi district in the afternoon, the city military administration said. The pattern feeds Ukrainian fears of the hardest winter of the war: strikes on the power grid and heating infrastructure have intensified in each of the previous four winters, and air defences are struggling to cope.
