Denmark: NATO Will Share Arctic Responsibility Under the Greenland Deal
Copenhagen added the multilateral gloss to Tuesday’s signing: security responsibility in the Arctic “is not only Danish or American… to a large extent it would be NATO that looks after the Arctic”, the foreign minister said — the text still unpublished, its relationship to the 1951 defence agreement still unclear, and the alliance’s name now deployed to dilute the optics of “permanent control”.
