Man Dies as Sign Falls at Christian Festival; Event Cancelled
A 41-year-old man from Eastbourne died and at least seven people were injured when a large sign fell at the Big Church Festival at Wiston Park in West Sussex, the UK’s biggest Christian festival. Organisers cancelled the rest of the weekend event, saying they were “devastated” and working with police and the Health and Safety Executive “as they establish the circumstances”.
