Nepal Toll Hits 469 as China Halts Rescue Over Lake Threat
The flood death toll rose to 469 in Nepal with more than 1,300 still missing, as China suspended rescue operations on the Tibetan side after the debris-dammed lake began overflowing towards search teams — state media warned levels will keep rising until around Tuesday, with a “high risk” of a breach.
