Russia and Ukraine Trade Heavy Overnight Strikes
Russia launched more than 130 drones at Ukraine overnight, cutting power across six regions, while Ukraine struck logistics and industrial sites deep inside Russia, according to the Institute for the Study of War. Ukrainian air defences downed most of the drones, but sixteen got through, hitting nine locations. The exchanges came as Kyiv sought to translate this week’s talks with President Trump into firmer support.
Ukraine’s long-range strikes hit a logistics complex near Moscow and a chemical plant far from the border, part of a sustained campaign against Russia’s war economy; Russia claimed small advances near Kostiantynivka. The Washington think tank reported little change along the front line.
