Ukraine Strikes Russian Refineries and Industrial Sites
Ukraine struck deep inside Russia on Wednesday, saying it had hit two major oil refineries, as fires broke out at industrial plants following a wave of drone attacks. Russian reports said a warehouse complex in the Ryazan region was evacuated and at least six people were injured. The strikes came days after President Zelensky met Mr Trump at the White House.
Kyiv has increasingly targeted the refineries, fuel depots and factories that sustain Russia’s war economy, seeking to impose costs far from the front line. Moscow claimed only minor damage and said its air defences downed most of the drones, though Ukrainian officials framed the raids as among their most effective yet.
