US Bombs Iran for an Eleventh Night as Trump Threatens Natanz
American forces struck Iran for an eleventh consecutive night, with air defences firing over Tehran and blasts reported near Bushehr, Tabriz and Chabahar. US Central Command said the barrage was designed to keep degrading Iran’s ability to threaten Hormuz shipping. President Trump threatened to hit a suspected underground enrichment site near Natanz, known as “Pickaxe Mountain”, warning: “We’ll be hitting that area pretty soon, and very heavily.” The American military death toll has reached eighteen.
Central Command said it had targeted military operations centres, aircraft hangars, drone-storage and logistics sites, insisting the strait “remains open”. Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya command warned it would treat any strike on its nuclear facilities as “an expansion of war in the region”, threatening “all the interests of America”. The Defence Secretary, Pete Hegseth, told the Senate the war had now cost $37.5bn and requested urgent supplemental funding.
