US Strikes Iran for a Tenth Night as Tehran Hits Kuwait
American forces bombed Iranian military targets for a tenth consecutive night, with explosions reported across Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Shiraz and Isfahan. Tehran retaliated before dawn on Tuesday, its army claiming surface-to-surface missiles struck US HIMARS launchers at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, where air defences were activated. The American military death toll stands at seventeen, and the Pentagon says nearly a hundred troops have been wounded in the past fortnight.
The tenth-night barrage marks no let-up in a campaign that has struck hundreds of Iranian military sites since June’s ceasefire unravelled, yet Tehran’s retaliatory reach appears undimmed. Iran framed the Kuwait strike as a new phase of its operation, and the Revolutionary Guard separately claimed a cruise-missile hit on data infrastructure in Bahrain, which neither Gulf state has confirmed. President Pezeshkian declared that Iran was now “engaged in a full-scale war”. With two tankers reported ablaze in Hormuz, the risk of a wider Gulf conflagration remains acute.
