The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that the United States has seized an Iran-linked oil tanker, the Skywave, in the Indian Ocean, citing three US officials. The Skywave had been sanctioned by the United States in March for its role in transporting Iranian oil. The seizure is the second high-profile US blockade-related action of the negotiating window, following the US Treasury’s Monday designation of the Amin Exchange and 19 additional vessels linked to illicit Iranian oil exports.
